“Proposed Updates to CSA/ANSI/IGSHPA C448 Standard Series 2024“
Presented by Lisa Meline, P.E., Meline Engineering Corporation
In 2013, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Group invited IGSHPA, ASHRAE, NGWA and several other professional organizations in the United States to participate in what has been coined the Bi-National Standard. In 2016 the Design and Installation of Ground Source Heat Pump Systems for Commercial and Residential Buildings, was released and incorporated what had previously been the US industry standard developed by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA). This presentation will provide an overview of the 2024 revision which is currently out for public review and includes new sections on District Energy Systems, Foundation Heat Exchangers, and an Annex on Wastewater Energy Transfer Systems.
